Online casino, also known as provocative casinos or Internet casinos, are online versions of household ("chunk and mortar") casinos. I can’t wait meanwhile Carmen and I will now prowl through the city for more dates to surprise, the casino perhaps? Hmm, I don’t think Efrén knows the answer but it would be a good question for the next date. Two questions arise from this confession: ‘what the hell is Efrén doing there?’ and ‘is an artificial woman therefore typical?’. No, Efrén prefers – like most of the contestants oddly enough – the inner person (why, oh why, do they always say that?). Efrén confesses that he doesn’t like ‘the typical artificial woman with lots of make-up, operated and who spends all her time watching herself in the mirror’. ![]() To compare, watch the other date at some kind of swimming pool. So, on this particular date, Soroya showed her ‘sweet side’ (i.e was boring and didn’t say anything of importance except ‘you are very handsome’ and ‘yes, I smoke, its my only sin’ – upon which, by the way, Efrén said that his ideal woman didn’t smoke, bummer) whilst Efrén’s only sentence bearing any type of significance was that the perfect girl should always be able to impress his mum (incidentally, he rapidly added that he thought Soroya would do just that – how he came to this swift conclusion remained, as ever, unclear). Between cider (hmm, I didn’t quite get that translation) and flattering comments they were able to get to know each other. Dulce was more straight-forward and took her boy directly into the water. ![]() Soroya showed to be very sweet and had prepared a romantic dinner where she hoped to find some affinity with Efrén. However, they used two very different strategies. Soraya and Dulce (Sweetness) have had their first date with Efrén and both of them have tried to win over their man. Here is what the website has to say about it when comparing it to the other date of the day: The date itself – between Efrén and a Seville dressed Soroya – itself wasn't too bad. ![]() Alon and Yaël are hidden somewhere between us. I can be seen from the back - my best side - in a white t-shirt slightly to the right of her. We were both overly and childishly exited. First, check out the photo above so you will be able to localize us on screen, you will see Carmen peeking behind the beam, holding a white bag, but hardly holding her nerve on national television. If you look closely at the video you will see a group of four standing behind the guy (named Efrén, what kind of name is that?). So, why am I telling you all this? Well, firstly because Carmen and I analyze these dates in depth – slashing out towards the contestants with a mixture of disdain (what a bunch of idiots, how can you base a first ten minute date on the question ' do you like skinny-dipping?') and absolute envy ( why aren't we so pretty?).Īnd secondly, because we actually appeared on it! Yes, after months of amusement we bumped into one of these dates (usually held in exotic nightclubs, horse-tracks, weird spa's and child amusement parks - do people actually do this?) in the famous Flamenco Bar 'Casa Patas' where we were buying tickets for a Flamenco song and dance show to be watched by our Dutch friends Alon and Yaël (the show was later to be branded as 'one of the most boring things I have ever seen, comfortably beating a musical I once saw about a bloodthirsty Australian medic' by the enthusiastic Alon). Amazingly - for reasons only known to the production team - another beautiful person replaces this outcast so that it can take months until the main character chooses the love of his life. After these dates - which tend to be extremely embarrassing for both due to the absolute lack of conversational power - the main person who chooses the dates has to send somebody home (amongst the shouting of the crowd and – strangely – after the advice of a ‘professional dating panel’). Great Siesta entertainment if you ask me (unfortunately I don’t get to see it often, only on Fridays when I can get home a bit early).īasically, there is a main character (every show there are two guys and two girls) who everyday has two dates with contestants from the opposite sex, chosen from a pool of about 16 overly attractive human beings. When they show they are ready, they will also slowly be introduced to other members of the herd. To provide Phoebe and her new baby with time to continue developing a strong bond, they will remain in a behind-the-scenes area. Just two other live Asian elephants have been born at the Columbus Zoo throughout the Zoo’s history–Bodhi, who was born in 2004 and now resides at Denver Zoo, and Beco, who was born in 2009 and is still a part of the Columbus Zoo elephant herd. Her last calf, Ellie, sadly passed away a few weeks after her birth in 2018 due to a bacterial infection despite aggressive treatment by the Animal Health team and outside specialists. This calf is Phoebe’s fourth calf born at the Columbus Zoo and her fifth calf overall. Phoebe came to the Columbus Zoo in January 2002 and resides alongside the other five Asian elephants in the Asia Quest region-males Hank (this calf’s father) and Beco (Phoebe’s son), and females Connie, Sunny and Rudy. Attempts to artificially inseminate elephants are becoming more frequent to bolster the numbers of endangered elephants, whose populations continue to rapidly decline in their native range. Two of these scientific achievements have occurred at the Columbus Zoo (with the first time occurring in Phoebe in 2016). Artificial insemination is very uncommon with Asian elephants, with less than 10 successful outcomes. While this is still a relatively rare procedure for elephants, most successful elephant artificial insemination attempts (approximately 20 in total) have occurred with African elephants. Artificial insemination is carefully coordinated by animal health experts and enables an elephant to be impregnated at her most fertile time. While Phoebe and Hank had the opportunity to breed, this has been unsuccessful in the past and she was artificially inseminated. The pairing of Phoebe and 33-year-old father, Hank, was recommended by the Species Survival Plan® (SSP), a program coordinated by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) to maintain genetic diversity of threatened and endangered species in human care. Phoebe’s delivery went smoothly, and the arrival of this recent calf is also offering hope for Asian elephant conservation efforts. The Animal Care team shifted from checking Phoebe via remote camera every two hours to monitoring her around the clock and working overnight shifts in the building, where they could be ready to assist as necessary. On Sunday, June 13, Phoebe’s bloodwork showed that her progesterone levels had dropped enough that the Animal Health and Animal Care teams knew that the birth would happen sometime within the next 72 hours. The purchase of endocrine equipment in 2018 by donor, Johanna Destefano, allowed the Animal Health team to run daily progesterone tests for Phoebe so they could more accurately predict the birth. Thanks to the incredible bond she shares with her care team Phoebe voluntarily participated in regular ultrasound imaging, which enabled staff to monitor the calf’s development. Throughout her 22-month pregnancy, the Zoo’s Animal Care team monitored Phoebe closely. Phoebe has remained patient with him and calmly responds to the care team as they observe her and her baby. ![]() ![]() He is rather vocal, sometimes emitting a low grumble, and he continues to test out his trunk though he hasn’t quite yet sure figured out how to use it to its fullest potential. ![]() While he currently prefers to stand closely between Phoebe’s legs, the calf is also starting to be curious of his surroundings behind the scenes in the Zoo’s elephant and rhino building. Bug Large Motor Games Flight of the Bumblebee You can't do that in the PSP version, and it sucks D: That is one downside to the PSP version. I don't want to spoil anything, but the SNES version allowed you to return to earlier areas of the game after a certain point. The PSP version introduces a point of no return whereas there wasn't one in the SNES version. So I'd say the PSP version is better overall. If I remember right, upgrading some combat skills too much in the SNES version could kind of screw you over. But in this version you can disable certain combat skills, which is good. They also revised skills, I believe? In the SNES version you couldn't turn them on or off. That's the soundtrack they used in the PSP version. Besides, I can't seem to get the SNES version running smoothly on my PSP Go. I've decided to continue with First Departure to try out something new. So what I'm really getting at is after my rant, is the PSP version worth continuing or should I go emulate the SNES version? Does the PSP version have any substantial new content that's worth playing for? I'm all for continuing the PSP version if it's the definitive version with new content and the like but it's just so visually bland compared to the original.ĮDIT: Thanks for the feedback, ladies and gents. Definitely glad they kept the original music score in this. The anime scenes were a nice touch and the voice acting a hit or miss. I don't really remember how the battle system was like in the original but the PSP version seemed kind of clunky too. It was filled with vibrancy and the like. I remember the SNES didn't really have world map traveling and instead opted for traveling through different areas to get to your destinations/towns. I'll admit that I'm all the way in the beginning of the game, just got to Coulte and Millie's father was about to turn to stone so I haven't experienced the other areas yet. Lo and behold, the game was kind of ugly looking and felt really clunky. ![]() So here I am, ready to experience the beauty that was the original SNES game and started up The First Departure. Unfortunately, I never did finish the whole game. So I finally got around to playing The First Departure for the PSP. |
